-AUKS HUGHES AT WAKEA. On Friday Aliss Anderson Hughes gave ln;r lecture on Licence v. _Xoliccnse, and showing where the question of individual liberty came in, to all appreciative audience in the iWarca Hall. Air. H. C. Henry occupied the chair. The comiiaiiy was small, owing mainly to insullieient advertising. The managers of tin' no.-Jiccnse movement should advertise their arrangements for public meetings more fully in Olio morning paper if they would reach the Warea public. However; Hiss Hughes spoke For more than an hour, and answered' questions afterwards, much to the satisfaction of those present. Air. MeLaehlan, in a happy little speech, moved a vote of thanks'to Miss Hugflics for her lecture, of which, like Oliver Twi-i. lie asked for more. Sir. Bell seconded the motion, which was carried by acclamation, and'ended the meeting.
