VITAL STATISTICS FOR 1007. Received 17, 1.5 a.in. Sydney, August 10. The Commonwealth vital statistics for last year bliow that there were 110,347 births registered, the highest number ever attained. The illegitimate rate was equivalent to 0.16 per cent, of the total, which proportion is slightly lower than the proportions of the previous three years. The marriage rate is the highest for twenty years. Deaths numbered 45,305, equivalent to 10.00 ner thousand. Deaths of children under one year equal 81.08 per thousand births. The deaths include 23 centenarians—l 3 male and 10 female.
