A FISHING FATALITY.

AWAiiINO STOBEIiEEPEtt DKOWNJSD. Sergeant Haddrull received advice last night of a fatality at Awakiuo. From particulars available it appears that a parly of Awakino residents, comprising Messrs. 0. Uovenlock, Albert Perrott, Kred Haliuond, and IMb son, P. Halniond, went out to the mouth of ths river on ft fishing trip. On the return journey the boat capsized iu the rollers, and Govenlock wit drowned. One of the others was rescued with great difficulty. Uovenlock was a storekeeper at Awakino, and a well-known aettler,' connected with most local movements, and prominent in rifle shooting circles. An. inquest will be hold to-day, and tha body will probably be brought to New Plymouth for interment.
