Kunna kicked a ■penalty goal. J. L. Williams scored for Britain Gibbs converting. After c-hanging o'k!-, (<uvin and li. Smith added tries, bom being convertI eil. During the last few minutes play was exciting, Griffiths got over, Gibbs adding the extra points. Before the whistle sounded Britain was penalised, and Kvjuna kicked a goal. The British team was as follows: Full-back, Jackett; tnree-quartera, J. P. Jones, J. L. Wiliams, Gibbs and Griffiths; halves, Laxon and J. X. Jones; forwards, Ritson, Dibble, T. Snutli, Oldham, Xhomas, Down, Morgan and Green.

The .teams were fairly evenly matched, and the game was interesting throughout. South Canterbury's score consisted of a
penalty goal, kicked by Spillane, and a try, obtained by Roddick and converted by Spillanc. i'or Wellington Gardiner obtained and converted a try, and Perry and Gardiner simultaneously fell on the ball, scoring a try, which was not converted.
