PRISONERS LIBERATED.
„ ,Lonatuutinoplc, August 7. Soldiers at Smyrna broke open the prisons and liberated all criminals. Thev l then marched through tlie town making a demonstration in favor of the Constitution.
THE MACEDONIAN PROPOSALS. Received tf, 4.30 p.m. . London, August S. Owing to the granting of the Turkisl constitution, the Anglo-Russian Macedonian proposals have been withdrawn. HIGH OFFICIALS DISMISSED. A LARGE SUM SEIZED. Received 0, 4.30 p.m. Constantinople, August 8. N umbers of high Turkish oflieiuls, ineluding the Ambassador at Paris, have been dismissed. The sum of £400,000 was seized in the houses, of arrested personages.
