Further details of the Mount Roskill attempted murder case state that a. boy returning frcJm Alount Roskill scnool yesterday afternoon looked inte a cottage occupied by two Chinese market gardeners, Ah ding and Louie Yang. He saw Ah Jing stretched out on the lloor with a gun beside him. . When investigation was made Ah Jing was found fully clothed with an extensive wound in the nbdomen, the llesb being seared, so that it was evident he had been shot at close range. The wouuded man asserted" that Louie shot him. Apparently there was a fierce struggle, the bed being covered with blood, the curtains torn down, and a stream of blood culminating in a. pool where Ah Jing fell. Ah Jing said the quarrel arose owing lo Louie Yang lying in lied while he worked. "There was much talk," he added; "we light; he lied." Ah Jing is in the hospital, his condition being very critical. Louie Yang was arrested this morning at Paninnre. He had one hand badly "cut.

This afternoon the arrested Chinese, Louie Vang, was charged at the hospital, More Mr. Dyer, S.AI., with attempting the murder of his late confrere. The depositions of the wounded man were taken. He swore tJiat he and the accused had quarrelled, coining to blows. Accused then rushed to where the gun was kept whilst witness secured a butcher's knife. The accused then S'liot him. Witness' next move was to decamp, taking away the knife and breaking it on the way, presumably, as it was found broken. Accused was reirandcd till lltth inst.
