At the annual meeting of Millar's Karri and Jarrah Companv, of West Australia, the chairman, speaking of the decline in the profits bv £JO 000 said he attributed this to the strike of the company's employees. The workmen were now asking for a co-operative scheme. The directors could not possibly consent to this but would offer an alternative scheme. The workmen themselves were less to blame for the trouble than the agitators and the members of the Labor Party with their political propaganda.
