It was intimated that nothing had been agreed to at the recent conference, and that the whole reference would have to be argued. The Court was occupied all day in the hearing of the evidence for the employees. It was .stated that 80 men were prepared to give evidence, but Mr. Forbes (the men's representative) said he hoped to complete the cases without calling all who had offered as witnesses.
