Sot only this, but Taranaki now owns a good " licet" of automobiles, and Sew Plymouth is frequently visited by motor vars from other districts. The question which forces itself on these visitors—and doubtless influences other . possibly visitors against the town—is *' " where sliall I find accommodation fi>? Up till lately there was no accommodation for visiting car-owners. ..Now, however, as the result of a tow j months' business in temporary premiss in King .Street, Mr. A. Beeston has decided to erect a. permanent garage. The contract has .been lot to Mr. K. W. Bond, the building to be erected upon a .site in Liardet Street, just below Devon Street. Mr. Beef.ton is not doing things hv halves. We are to have a garage that 'will 'be as thoroughly up-to-date in its appointments as any in the U >- luinion, and more commodious than most, The building is to be of brick, with a frontage of fifty feet to Liardet street. The enlranr.', of course, is u very wide donr, to suit even the most inexperienced motorist. This opens ml.) a depot for ears, about .">Uft by 42U, with a lloor of tinted concrete, which should give it a nice appearance. At the rear of this is the workshop, where all motor car and motor cycle repairs will be executed, power being deny-'d from an electric motor and all the ether equipment on the same modem j s.-ale. At the front of the building ,-| a large show-window, ISft by Wl'l, «ilh j plate-dass front, roomy enough to hold the largest car. In this will be shown car- and accessories, such as lamp?, tires, and so on. A feature of _ !'»• establishment will be a large and nicely annointcd ladies' waiting room, wind will he one of the finest in the island. Mr. Beeston has hopes of Hie formation of a strong Automobile Association 1-1-cilly and is providing a suite of clubrooni's for the members. Lockers are to be provided for motorists to store their -pare parts, oil, etc. and another convenience will be a turn-table for revers•in» cars. In fact, (he proprietor itilelids to make provision for local <iml louring ear-owners. Besides a fine k of new cars of variors reliable makes, there will be available for lore about us good a licet of cars as will be found anvwliere. and a competent chauffeur will'be sent in charge of each car.
