The Ponsonby team, comprising several Ne-v Zealand "rep." forwards and a stion* back division, is reported to be a particularly powerful club combination, and the team purposes making a trip to Australia this season. The Waimate team is also a formidable fifteen, the forward pack especially, and if the match between the two teams is arranged a very interesting contest should result.—Witness.
