At a meeting of the Christclmrch Sports Club held on Saturday, the following team was selected to represent Canterbury in the New Zealand chum- | pionslups on August 19 and 20:—Bantam weight, J. l'arker, U, Judge, It. ilentley, i). AkOahon, and W. Midgley; featherweight, K T. Uundry A. Hall J. Young, s. Mangin, and H. Bennett; light weight, F. Turner and A. Xliomson; welter weight, K. Jlayze and C. 11. Kindlay; middle weight, J. Lloyd, A. JSireh, A. Chick and F. H. Jones; heavy weight, J. Cross, J. S! WW) , ln j ']>, Shaw. The team will be strengthened by the inclusion of T. Stewart (bantain) and W. I'Jlliott (teather) who have been nominated by the Tirnavu Sports Club. It was decided that entries should close on August 1,1, and that the local entry should not ho conlined to those selected, it being reco"niseil that others might be desirous of competing.
