WHEAT AND FLOUR SUPPLIES. London, July 20. The quantity of wheat and Hour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1.745,000 quarters; for the Continent, 1,020,000 quarters; Atlantic , shipments 280,000 quarters; Pacific shipments, 13,000 quarters. The total shipments to Europe for the week amounted to 015,000 quarters, including 18,000 quarters from the Argentine and Uruguay.
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. By Telegraph.— Frees Association. Wellington, Monday. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner at London, dated July 25:
Frozen meat—The mutton market is weak on the account of the absence of demand. Canterbury mutton is in small supply, and quotations arc nominal. Canterbury 4d, North Island 3'/ 2 d, River Plate 3>/ s d. The lamb market is steady. Canterbury brands 5%d, other than Canterbury 5%d. The beef market is quiet, the demand falling off.
Butter. —The market is very linn, with good demand. The butter sent by the Turakimt-arrived in good condition, and found a market at an average price ot 110s per cwt. Cheese.—The market is steady, but without animation. New Zealand white makes 02s, colored s!)s per cwt. Hemp.—The market Is depressed. Following are current quotations:—On the spot: Good fair grade £2O, fair grade £23, fair current Manila £22 per ton. July to September shipments'. Good fair grade £25 10s, fair grade £22 10s, fair current Manila £2l 10s.
Wool.—The market is firm, with a hardening tendency. Hops.—Tho market is dull. Very little business is doing.
