Speaking at the annual meeting of the Navy Loague to-night, Sir Josopli Ward said there was no man in Parliament who did not support tho proposal to increase the New Zealand subsidy to tlw navy. Recently a request had been male to the Home authorities for a trainim;Bliip capable of accommodating one thousand young men. So far, however, it had not been possible to comply with tho request, but all the same the Aniokura had been found to be too small, and if the Government could not get the required vessel in one direction it wou'td get it somewhere else for the purpose of giving that training which was so essential.
