The Admiralty Division Court of Inquiry held that the owners ot the Kangatira were responsible for the collision of that vessel with the Sphere in the Thames in October, on the ground that the oilicers did not render the pilot the assistance to w'hich he was entitled.
' COLLIERS' PREDICAMENT. London, July 23. Sixty colliers were imprisoned in the High-House colliery at Fiery Aucliinleck by the framework in two of the shafts catching fire. After a tremendous struggle.the fire was extinguished and all the men were rescued.
AN UNLAWFUL ACTION. London, July 23., The Dean of Arches has ndmonis'hed the Rev. Henry Thomson, of Norwich Cathedral, for his unlawful action in refusing to admit to communion Mr. Bannister, the manager of the Norwich Electric Tramways, on the ground that his wife was his deceased w r ife's sister. The Canon points out that Mr. Bannister's marriage took place in Canada, where it was legal, though it was be-i fore such marriages had been legalised in England.
