In the matter of "The Tramways Act, 1894." pUBLIC NOTICE i 3 hereby given that WILLIAM BOLLAND DAVIBS, <J the Upper Carrington Road, Sawniiller, has applied to the Taranaki County Council (being the local authority ;n that behalf) for a license to him to lay down, construct, and maintain a private tramway on and along-the Carrington Road from the boundary of the Patua Block to the northern end of Seetim road (opposite Section 113, Omata District), Frankley Road, and Humphries Road. The plan of the proposed tramway may be inspected at the office of the Taranaki County Council, Queen Street, New Plymouth, daily on weekdays from 0 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The said application and any objections thereto will be taken into consideration by the Taranaki County Council at the Meeting of the Council to be held at the County Office; Queen Street, New Plymouth, on MONDAY, the 7th day of September, 1908, at 11 o'clock a.m. Dated at New Plymouth this 24th day ' ofJuly,l9oa / ... COUNTY OF TARANAKI. ABOLITION OF ROAD DISTRICTS. TN pursuance of subsection 2 of section 53, "Counties Act, 188fi," I hereby give notice that petitions will be presented at a Meeting of the Council in the County Chambers, Queen Street, New Plymouth, at 2 p.m. on the 3rd of August, 1908, praying for the abolition of the Carrington, Elliot, and Frankley Road Districts and the merging of the said areas into the County of Taranaki, as from the 31st of March, 1900.
