MADE IN NEW ZEALAND.
'• Local Industries Week " happened along about a couple of weeks too early for Messrs. Riddles & Johnson, cabinetmakers, for they have not even yet quile completed the articles which they could proudly show as the product of local industry. Foremost is o very handsome massive dining room suite of puriri made from the timbers of the old Waiwakaiho bridge, 'fife suite comprises sideboard, dinner-waggon, diuing-tnblc, and nine chairs. This is essentially homemade, for the timber was cut locally over fifty years ago, and the whole of the work has been done in the firm's factory. Then there is a Ohippenda'.c style duchess pair in stained kauri, nicely finished. A bedroom suite of fumed oak, hi a now fashionable antique design, is a fine piece of work, comprising wardrobe, duchess pair, bedsteal, two chairs and a small table. Messrs. Riddles & Johnston intend making a display of their furniture on Saturday, but are greatly handicapped by want of window space.
