Mr. J. L. Kelly, well known in journalistic circles throughout the, Dominion, has accepted an editorial position in the Hawaiian Islands.
Mr. Walter Empson, for twenty-nine years headmaster of the Wanganui Collegiate School, has resigned the position. The Rev. .1. I. Dove, M.A., has been chosen as his successor, and will take over his duties at Easter next vcar.—Press wire.
Mr. Patrick Gorman, of Havelock North island as a hotelkeeper and sportsman, died -at Napier yesterday at the age of 81 years.—Press wire.
.Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Coxhead, of Whangamoiuona, Taianaki, arrived in England by the Lusitania on the 12th instant, having come by the VancouverNew York route (says' a London correspondent). They arc on a pleasure trip to the Old Country. At present they are slaying with relatives at Sutton, in Surrey,' and after seeing the Midlands' and 'Scotland (hey intend crossing through Switzerland to A'enice and Naples. At Naples they will join an outward-bound steamer, arriving back in Now Zealand in time (or the early summer.
