Taranuki. the fat province, is responsible for the butter and bacon shown, hhuvke's May sends tinned fruits, and Auckland tinned mullet. There is a large placard, which is intended to show the superiority of New Zealand foodstuffs and the plcntitudc thereof. The placard represents a well-fed New Zealander who possesses a "corporation" thai, throws considerable responsibility upon his waistcoat buttons, whilst his smile of contentment is most expansive. ft. A. KISBET AND CO. Messrs. (.1. A. Nishet and Co., general blacksmiths and wheelwrights, Carrie street, have a number of vehicles in their show room, the most attractive or which is an exceptionally good ponv cart built after tin- Knglis'h dog cart pattern. The wood portion of flic, vehicle is built entirely of \ew Zealand timber,. ttliM panels arc of honeysuckle, the rails of kauri and koe koe, the ben! wings being of pukalca. All the woods are splendidly polished in their natural colors, and the grains show up splendidly under a coat of varisli. The trap is built to order to seat two persons and is v ell balanced on three Dennett springs and Hit-hards' long-distance axle. Altogether the vehicle.'js one of the prettiest and neatest ive have seen in the line, in marked contrast to the above is a meat waggon built to the order of .Messrs Sole Bros, for conveying meat from the abattoirs. This conveyance is built to carry two tons, and when loaded wilt accommodate six bodies of beef and 25 sheep. It is built on sanitary lines, the inside being dressed with white enamel. so (hat no dirt_ or stains adhere to the wood. Tin' vehicle is painted and linished off in cream, the name of the linn, "Sole Bros.''' showing up in hold relief in silver leaf. The draught of the vehicle i, very light, two'lijrhl. harness horses taking a full load at the trot. »
