INGLEWOOD S.M. COURT
The usual monthly sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held on Monday before llr. Turnbull, S.JI. Judgment went by default in the following cases:— Drake Bros. v. F. Wisncwski, claim £i IDs (id, costs Ills; It. 11. Robinson y. J. Ileal, claim C2 13s, costs lis and solicitor's fee ss; same v. (j. A. Smith, claim £2 3s, costs 5s and solicitor's fee ss. Dr. Nutting proceeded against,,A. Elgar on a judgment summons for £7 5s (id; defendant, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the amount forthwith, in default a week's imprisonment in New Plymouth gaol, warrant to be suspended if 25s Oil is paid on the 10th August and the balance bv monthly instalments of 30s each. W. Davics anil C. Waslcy were each fined 10s ami costs for a breach of'tlie Moa Road Board bylaws. Twenty-three other cases were either confessed, struck out, or not. served.
