FRENCH-CANADIAN TREATY.
DELAY OVER ITS APPROVAL. Received July 13, 9.40 p.m. Ottawa, July 13. Mr. W. S. Feilding, in the Dominion House of Commons, referring to the' French Senate's delay in approving the franco-Canadian commercial treaty, admitted the French were doing their utmost to secure approval, but hinted that non-approval would probably render the denunciation of the treaty of 1893 unavoidable.
