LONDON MARKETS. London, July 10. Wheat.—Owing to the hot, forcing weather, the markets are quiet, with little disposition to buy for forward delivery; but there is less depression than last week. A record crop is expected in Canada, where the harvest will probably be in full swing early in August. A lot of 7000 quarters of Australian March shipment brought 36s !)d, and another of 15,000 quarters 30s Gd. Flour—The market is very qnict. Prices are unchanged. Copper On the spot £57 10s 3d, three months £SB 10s. Electrolytic copper £SO. Tin —On the spot £l3l 13s, three months .£132 15s. Recent low prices have induced licavy speculative buving. Lead, £l2 17s Od. Sugar Market irregular. German lis Od. first marks 12s lid. Wool.—The Bradford wool market is animated. There is strong inquiry for all sorts of top makes at advanced quotations, but there is little selling. Common sixties -- 'Ad, super 23'/ 2 d. Butter.—Market firm. The New Zealand butter ex lonic is selling at Ills to 110s per ewt, but the inquiry for it is small.
Kauri Gum.—The sales were lifelesi; 488 cases were offered, but none were sold.
Pearl Shell.—Good sales were made at prices from 0s to 10s higher. NEW PLYMOUTH WOOL, HIDE, SKIN, AND TALLOW SALE. MESSRS. NOUS AND CO.'S REPORT. On Wednesday, Sth instant, we held our usual sale "of hides, skins, tallow, etc., and had a first-class entry. Buyers were plentiful, and the whole, catalogue was cleared under the hammer at full rates. Prices all round were on a par with those realised last month. We quote:— Hides.—Ox stout Gd to heavy 5%d to 5%d, medium 4'/ 2 d to sd, light 4d to 4%d; cow licavy 4%d to 4%d, medium' 3%d to 4d, light 3%d to 4y B d. extra heavy 4%d; yearling 3'/ 4 d to B%d, calf 4%d tii 5%d, cut 4d, slinks 8d each, stags and bulls 2%d to 2%d, horse hides 4s Gd to 8s 3d; settlers' hides, cow from 2d to 3%d, according to condition, cut and damaged %d to %d less, according to condition. Skins.—Butchers' salted 2s 2d to 2s 9d, dry 2s 3d to 2s lid, settlers' Is to Is 6(1, damaged Gd to Bd. Tallow.—Casks, medium, -21s to 21s od, tins 17s Od to 21s.
