THE HARBOR BILL.
SUi'I'OUTKD AT' WAIiKA. I (From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a large attendance at a meeting held on Friday night at Warea to discuss the Opunako Harbor Hill. Mr. W. McLaughlin occupied the chair. Air. M. Fleming gave his view of the matter. The following resolution was put loathe luceliii" and carried unanimously: "This meeting of ratepayers protests, against being rendered' liable for any rate for a harbor at Opunako, and is stongly in favour of the New iMvinniilh Harbor Hill, believing it to lie very fair and in the best interests of the district, it is als ) of,opinion that this coast sulieis a gieat injustice for tlie. want of railways, and strongly condemns the action of the liailwiiv Department in ehivrging three shillings a ton for carrying goods two miles further."
