MAAtJORKI v. ELTIIAM &, KAI'OMJA A rilie-sliooting match took place oil Thursday at JOllham between Mangorei liillc Club and a combined team from Klthani and Kapunga. The weather was line, a light wind blowing, which was a little tricky at times. A rille match look place at the local range on Thursday afternoon between teams of 10 men a-side representing the Kailake and liahotu llille Chilis. the conditions were seven shots at each of (lie 200 and 500 yards range-. Ualmtn won bv 58 points.' When the teams had completed I lie 200 yards range-, the score- were equal. 281 each, hut at 500 yards some of the Kailake men fell to 'pieces and the-v could nnlv -core 207 points to lialiotu's 205 points. For liahotu 11. .Mills was lop score witii 02 points, 3! at each range, whilst .1. Wilson, with a score of 00 (30 at each range) was highest for Kaitake. The local team entertained the visitor, at luncheon and afternoon tea on the range, and in the evening both teams sat down to dinner at Hood's Liahotu Motel.
