LORD MOKLEY'S POLICY SUPPORTED.

London, July 1. The House of Lords discussed the position of affairs in India. Both sides, including Lord Curz'm, the late Viceroy, who raised the debate, cordially supported Viscount Jlorley's wise and prudent control of aflars. Viscount Morley declared in reference to the ultimate reforms he intended, that, having put his hands to the plough, he would not withdraw them because of bombs. Earl Cromer, in supporting the press restriction law remarked that freedom of the press had long been tried in Egypt and India, lie reluctantly admitted that it had not been a success. Steps ought to be taken to deal with our countrymen who made peregrinations of India as demagogues.
