I CATTLE-DRIVING IX IRELAND. (Loudon, July 1. In the House of Commons, Mr. A. liirrell, Chief Secretary of Irelaud, said the cost of the extra constabulary which had had to be established in Ireland to suppress cattle-driving was £47,000. OLD AGE PENSIONS BILL. Received 3rd, 12.55 a.m. London, July 2. In the House of Commons, the Old Age Pensions Bill was put through the committee stages. The schedule fixes the pension at five shillings when pensioners' means dc not exceed £2l; four shillings when they do not exceed £23 12s 0d; three shillings when not exceeding £26 SS; two shillings when not exceeding £2B 17s (id; and one shilling ■when not exceeding £29 10s. When above the last-named sum, no pension will be granted.
