IAUIHiXANX SALK OF PKIHURIUJ STOCK. What was certainly tlio largest and most iimiortant sale of Jerßey cattle yet held iu I'aranaki was conducted by Jlr. Newton King nt Mangatoki on Wednesday, when Mr K. J. Linn's splendid dany herd was put up to auction. There was a record attendance of buyers, Manawatu, llangitikci, Wairarapa Wangauui, aud Hunterville bernir strongly represented. Mr Stanley Shaw and Mr. F. W. Webster both occupied the rostrum and had a big day's work. llie prices roiiiised were certainly an indication that the well-bred Jersey is m higli favor, and also that Mr. K J Linn'a herd possessed a reputation out' _ side he borders of the owner's demesne. ; In addition to th* bulls and heifers no less than one Tumdred and thirty cowß ■ were put up and every one sold.
