Auctioneer? 1 Conference recommended:—" That 110 autcioncor's license be granted by a local body alter it has boon refused to the applicant by another loeal body; that provision made for appeal against refusal to grant a license; that licenses bo issued for twelve months from January M; itiu'tio»eers to be permitted to provide a substitute during the currency of a license; furl Iter, that one or more licenses bo issued in the name of a. company or linn, which fit tin* time of applying for such license shall nominate some person who shall bo entitled to sell by public auction throughout the Dominion; that Rtieh company or firm may vary sttoff nomination upon payment of a ' fee of 10s; tlio nominee of a licensed company or firm to be exempt from sections 18 to '2O of the Act. The auctioneers will wait on the Attoriirv-Oenerai this after noon to urge tlvit these suggestions he embodied in the proposed Auctioneers' Act.
