POSITION .SKKIOI'S. Capetown, .tune 28. The Cape Colony Legislative Assembly discussed the refusal of the Australian Governments to jiermit tne importation of South African fodder into Australia. Some of the speakers sii£gerted that South Africa should retaliate by abolishing trade preference. Borne hinted that trade corners were the real reason of the prohibition, but other* deprecated this «ugfiestion. The Minister for Ajirirculture stated that the position na- serious. The (iovernjnent would confer and announce its decision on Monday. The Cape Tune- regrets that Victoria il in her objection despite Cap*' Colony's "lli'i.i' guarantee that the fodder is free from disease.
