"y Telegraph,—Press Association, Duncdin, Last Night, At a meeting of tlie provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union the following resolutions were passed, and will be forwarded to the coloniat executive:—(l) That in the opinion ot this meeting Socialism is rapidly becoming a menace to the welfare of the community; (2) That the continuance of relations between the Dominion political party and Socialistic section of the L&-. bor party is detrimental to the indivi-t dual enterprise, on which the progress of the country mainly depends, and a»> there is no longer any essential difference in principle between non-socialistic Liberals of the present Government nml the Opposition, the interests of the farming community would lie "rentlv benefited could cohesion of the two political parties be arranged on a satisfactory basis.
