While a detachment of Tonkingese tirailleurs were disarming a body of <Jbincse revolutionaries who had eiitcre:l French territory, they were attacked by si.v hundred Chinese reformers. The French loss included two lieutenants and two sergeants. J'irly reformers were killed.
