Neither man informed the police, who acted in consequence of public talk, and arrested Thurston, He was brought before the Court charged with attempting to kill, and remanded for eight days. The pohce made a search of his premises, and discovered eight bottles of whisky and a quantity of other liquor. Six bottles of whisky were found buried in the garden, and probably another charge as a result of the discovery will be. made.
