PROPOSED ENGLISH TOUR.
Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the Council of the Football Association to-night discussed the proposal made by a former resident of New Zealand now living in England to finance a team of "Soccer" players on an English tour. The meeting did not favor countenancing the: schema submitted, it was decided that the promoter be asked to get into communication with Mr. Gibbs, vice-president of the council, now living in London.
It was decided that the Brown Shield lw played for at Dunedin on i)th and 12th September.
