TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB.
A meeting of the Meiropulilon Committee was held on Tuesday evening. Present: Ales,is F. Watson (chairman), Hlundcll, dill. Ooldwater, King, Lcppcr, Nolan, Sole, Slandish, and Weston. The ilisqualilic.itious for having taken part in unregistered meetings prior to May llUth. l'Joy, were removed from the marcs Jean and St. Helen. A similar disqualilicatiou on a jockey named IV. Kclhind for riding in unregistered meetings was removed. At the request of the Egniont Racing) Club, the names of several persons and horses were sent to the Racing Conference to be placed on the unpaid forfeit list. The Taranaki Jockey Club also forwarded the names of an owner and a horse to be placed on the unpaid forfeit list. 'The dates of race meetings for the season IDOS-!) were approved by the Committee and remitted to the Racing Confereniv. Tlii'V were as follows: - WaitaVa Racing Club, October !)th, IPOS: 'J.'aran.iki .lockev Club. December 211 th and 2Sth. lllllH.u'nii March 24th and 2.ilh, lilllll (autumn meeting); Stratford Racing Club. Jumiarv Ist and 2nd: Kgmout Kaeino- Club, February Kith and lllh and Miiv 12th and Biih: Opuuake Rue iug Club. March 17lh; il'atoa Racing Club. April Pith. An application for registration was Kccivcd from the North Taranaki Hunt Club. It was decided lo recommend the application lo the Conference. This concluded the .Metropolitan Committee's business. The Taranaki Jockey Club committee then met. The chairman reported that the course committee had visited the racecourse with the secretary of the Hockey Association and had granted permission to erect a shed in the plantation near the Avenue road. July 14 was chosen as the date of the annual meeting of the club. An application from the Taranaki Ag- ' iieullnr.il Society for permission to take 1 water across the course to the showground from Avenue road was granted, subject to the supervision of the course committee. A hearty vote of thanks to the chairman for his services during the last two years was carried with acclamation. Mr. Watson, in returning thanks, stated (hat he had decided not to stand again
