NOT CALLING AT FIJI. Suva, June 15. Admiral Sperry notifies that the Ami- . riean fleet will not visit Fiji. USING THE MAIN TRUNK LINE. Palmerstou N., Last Night. f Kir Joseph Ward told a Manawat'U. Times representative that it was considered probable that southern visitor# to Auckland during .the visit of the American fleet would be conveyed rignt through by the Main Trunk route. The only serious obstacle will be an iinlinis'ied bridge. It is intended that if this cannot be crossed the train will run to ,< each side, and passengers walking across and continuing the journey oil the other side. ROTORUA ARRANGEMENTS. Auckland, Monday. Mr. T. 11. Hamer, one of the Commissioners appointed by the Government to arrange for the. crews of the American fleet, returned from Rotorua on " Saturday night and left, for Wellington yesterday to confer with the Premier on the visit of the officers to Rotorua. The programme arranged for- the five hundred visitors will include the opening of the new bath houses in the sanatorium 1 grounds, a number of characteristic na- ....■: ■ ' tive entertainments, and visits to the ■ chief places of thermal activity.
