NAVAL COURT-MARTIAL.
THE LOSS OF A CRUISER. CAPTAIN DISMISSED. London, June 12. , The Court Martial which inquired into the loss of the cruiser Gladiator as the result of the collision with th" trader St. Paul, reprimanded Captaii Lunisden, of the Gladiator. Captain Lumsden has been dismissed front his ship. When the blizzard which Mew ov t England on April zoth wax at its lieijrlit. the American liner St. Paul, steaming ontward from Southampton, crushed 'n the port side of the cruiser Gladiator. Oft* Yarmouth, in the Isle of Wig'i'.. The Gladiator heeled over ami w.is ttriven on the beach in about twenty minutes. The H. Pan! suffered little damage. Her bow platen were buckled. Bhe returned to Southampton. Captain Lnmsden vras the last to leave the Gladiator. There was splendid discipline on board. The men stood at their quarter;. and only leaped overboard when the sea threatened to engulf them. When the Jressel capsized, all hands climbed ou th" bottom, which was out of water. A passenger of the St. Paul reported that ne heard the sailors on the overturned keel singing "Sons of the Sea."
