THE TRIANGULAR CONTESTS. Received June 12, 11.1 p.m. LoncKjn, June 12. Captain Wynyard, on behalf of the South African Association, has written to the counties with a view to the county committee meeting on 3rd July. He states that South Africa, regarding the contract from an Imperial point of «>ew, bad been willing to make some Sacrifice. It was regrettable that the Australian board did not view the mat ter in the same light, as the scheme was of an experimental nature, ami, on a modestf calculation, would result in a prbfit to the countries concerned. He trusts the counties will not ask the *woth Africans to poshpone the visit until the requirements of the Australians are satisfied.
