EKJ-HT HOCKS DAY RESOLUTION CARRIED. • Received ,luiw 10. 11.47 p.m. Paris, June 10. 111'. William Brace, member of the House of Commons, on behalf of the Miners' Federation submitted an eight hours' day resolution to the International Congress at Paris, representing 55!),'254 miners. He admitted the English Bill aroused increasing opposition of vested interests. The miners were new asking Parliament to settle the matter rather tlmn force a resolution by trades union methods, but tho pre> #e*t was the last time of asking. , The Congress unanimously adopted eight hours, including surface workers, and reduced to six hours in oases wliere fire-rfl&mp and a high temperature existed in Britain, Prance, Belgium, and Germany.
