Tl«e Prinee of Wales and many other notabilities have given special donations ia response to Lord Mount Stephen's appeal with a view to enabling King Edward's Hospital to dispose of £150,000 ajmually in charity. Lord Iveagh contributes £IO,OOO. In acknowledgment of London's kindmess to her, and in conunemmoration of the twentieth anniversary of her appearance in opera, Madame Melba is organising a matinee concert in aid of the East End of London Hospital.
