NOAIRE. The Ngaire Assembly held their nsuai furtnigiit'lv dance on Wednesday last, visitors being present from all pails of the district. As M.'sC. Messrs Stratford and T. Oodkin filled the bill splentlidlv, keeping everyone on the move. Missiuvmond officiated at the piano, extras being played by the -Misses La - la-han and liobsou. S °The local branch of the Farmer,' Union organised an outing to the Momahaki Stale Farm last Tuesday, which was taken advantage of by a jiir«e number of people. Journeying down bv the mail train the party were met at' the station and drixeu to the farm. Arriving there a good dinner was in readiness, and this was heartily partaken of. The trip proved a very interesting one, Mr. liillander and us stall explaining the various crops under cultivation, lhe methods of working. manuring, etc.. etc 1 1 have no doubt that next year will see reproductions of the State farm nil over the N.raire district.
