_ A FATAL OCARREL. MellMnirue. June i>. A man named Ito-ier shot his brother-in-law, named Dunn, dead at Elslcrwick. Rosier believed that Dunn was ill-treat-ing his wife, and a quarrel arose at Hosier's house. Rosier picked up a gun and shot Dunn through the heart. He states that the gun exploded accidentally.

A woman living at Flinders Island states that on the night when the re**! is ■apposed to have lieen lost she saw tockets for aliout ten minutes. The night was a fearful one.
