ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Taranaki Licensing Committee was held ill the Cottrtiioit.se yesterday morniug. Present: Mr. 11. ,S. Fit/.herhert (chairman-, .Messrs 11. Ilkey, M.R. ,1. Jl. Connett and \V. L. Newman. Air application for a transfer of the license of the Terminus Hotel from Francis Foster to Frank Poland (Air. drey) was granted. Applications for new licenses were granted:—Frank Poland, Terminus Hotel |Air. Crey); (ieorge Hisliop. Taranaki Hotel (Mr. drey); Peter Mcllvride, Criterion Hotel (Mr. (~'. 11. Weston). Renewals of licenses were granted:— Charles Clarke, White Hurt Hotel; .lames Smith, Imperial Hotel; Kdwin Whittle, lied House Hotel; Jiuth .Maria Nicholas, (irosvenor Hotel; Thomas Knoivles. liroakwater Hotel (Air. T. S. Weston); Alexander William Mood, liahotu Hotel (Mr. drey); Filed Little, Okalo Hotel (Air. Johnstone); Walter Staite, Oaktira Hotel (Mr. C. 11. Weston), accommodation license. Item-wills of wholesale licenses were granted:--L. 1). Nathan and Co. I Mr. T. S. Weston I; L. S. Humphries and Co. and dohlwater Bros. The Northern Steamship Company was grunted a renewal of the packet license for the s.s. Rnrawa. The committee granted permission for lights to be extinguished at 10 p.m.
