WELLINGUV BATTALION SHIELD.
Per Press Association. Palmcrst-on N., Last Night. The fourth annual competition for the second Wellington Battalion shield was fired at l'almorston to-day. There were ten men a-side, seven shots each tit 200, 500, and (100 yards. Scores:— AVanganui Killes 000, Palmerstoii North Hides 808, Manchester Hides 801, AVanganui' (luards 807, AA'angaum Highland P.illes SOU, Koyal Kangitikoi Killes 779, Palmerstoii (luards 757, AVanganui Irish Killes 040.
The highest score was made by a recruit in the l'almerston Kifl c s, 'viz., 07 out of 105.
