NOBLE'S TESTIMONIAL. Received 2nd. OAr, p.m. Sydney. June 2. At a large gathering at the Town Hall, the Governor pre-cnted Noble with a cheque for two thousand pounds and a silver tea and coffee service, as the result of the movement initiated after the visit of the English team in recognition of his services to cricket. Keceived 3rd, 12.50 a.m. .. ~ . , Sydney, June 2. -Nobles cheque was for £2OOO. The total subscriptions were £2221, the balance being expended in the purchasing of the silver Service. Xoble, in responding, said he had not intended accompanying the next team to England, but in the face of the handsome testimonial he could not refuse
