' Oil Thursday the Taranaki Hockey Association's chainpionship lixtures were J continued. Carrington-road played at 1 home, defeating Inglewood by 3 goals to 1. The visitors gave a disappointing exhibition, particularly in tne forward j division. For the victor* Dryland, I'. McEwen, and Mclsnac scored. The Inglewood team's play improved towards the linish. .lames Harris shot a goal, and narrowly missed another. ° -Stratford beat Kia Ora at Stratford i by 1 goafs to I. Three of the winners' | ■ points were registered in the lir.-t half. 1 The scorers were Eveviss (2), Dewhirst. and Anderson for .Stratford, and C'rad- - dock for Kia Ora. :) The Whakatika - Inglewood lixture, i which should have been played to-day at Inglewood, has been postponed.
