The Lord Mayor proposed the health of President Fallieres, who was ovationed. The President gratefully described London as the hearth from which radiates the generous and liberal ideas and the indefeasible principles of all progr.-s and civilisation. He referred to the"seiitiments of trust and lively sympathy that were animating France iii respect to Britain.
