MOA ROAD BOARD
At a meeting of the Moa Head Hoard on Saturday there were present: -Mcsi's. Trimble (in the chair), Chard, Capper, Chaiiipney, Cork-ill, Hoby, Lawrence, Sutherland, and Young. Mr. Lawrence moved that stops ho taken to raise a loan of XMU for the Surrey road. Mr. Simpson is to be iufomed (hat the Hoard has no money to remove pipes on the Dudley road. The road foremen reported on the heavy loads of stone that were being carted over some of the roads. Mr. Lawrence said that it was essential thai sonic steps be taken to stop this. It was decided to improve the ford through the creek on Bedford road. All outstanding rates are to be sued for a I once. On the motion of Mr. Chard, the clerk was instructed to write to tlihe County Council, asking that they allow the Hoard to make a deviation on the King road through .section 75. Accounts amounting to CI7T Kis M were passed for payment.
