DRAUGHTS MATCH
A team of eight players from EUliam met a similar number of members of the New Plymouth Draughts Club last evening, the match resulting in a win for the New Plymouth team by 8 games. During the evening the visitors were entertained at supper by the local club at Mr. J. W. Thompson's rooms. Mr. Willis welcomed the visitors, Mr. T. Stunners making a suitable response. A return match will be played at an early date at Kltliam. Particulars: T. Manners (Kltlnuil v. Bruce (New Plymouth), 2 wins and 2 draw- each: 1 U. Stanners (K.) v. .leiikin-on (X.P.i. ; 1 win and 1 loss each and 2 draws; T. Chalmers (F..), 1 win and '•! losses, v. Coster (X.P.), 3 wins and I loss; .1. Johnston (K.) v. Kkelly (N.P.), 2 wills and 2 losses each; 11. •!. Barnard (K.). no wins, v. 10. ltodgers (X.P.), 4 wins; A. Mnckie < !*-.>. 1 win and 3 losses, v. I - W. Olliver (N.P.t. 3 wins and 1 loss: i J 11.
