TARIKL (From Uur Own Corespondent). A very successful concert, in aid of providing fuii(i ri for a new organ in the Wesleyan Church, was held on the Utii inst. The hail was well tilled, and Iho l»Vv. T. [), Patchett. presided. The rev. gcutlcuiuu said he was pleased to see so many present, as tile object was a one. Ik congratulated the promoters on the excellent programme provided, and fell sure the audience would enjoy it. After a short prayer the programme was commenced. The selections given I>\ thi' orchestra from higlewood —AU's*iv». Li. and L. {Sutherland, Mr. limns, and JMiaw Everett —were much appreciated, as were also the recitations of Miss A*her. The bans songs l;v Mr. Sutherland were greatly admired, and Mr. F. Ranford delighted the audience with his capital comic songs and recitation. The choruses rendered by the church ciioir deserve mention, and demonstrated the good training of the choirmaster and organist, Mr. Rudkin. During the interval an appeal was made for subscriptions to the organ fund by Messrs. -). -Tcmison and Humphries which was well responded to by the audience.
