PRESIDENT'S tKAIi XOT HEEDED Received 18th, 11 p.m. New' York, May 18. Although President Roosevelt desired the appointment of a Government Com mission of both Houses of the Legislation, the Government, not wishing the executive branches' assistance, authorised the respective committees to secure information necessary to the intelligent revision of the Customs laws. The task has been relegated to next session.
