DUNEDIN HARBOR FATALITY

CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At the Port Chalmers Police Court today, Jose*ph Caddoi, fisherman, was charged with manslaughter on April 18 by causing the death of Alexander Edgar McPhee, Alfred McPliee, Wm. Mothers, and Robert Slater. The charge was the result of the collision between the Lady Roberts and the Matakana in the lower harbor. Evidence on the lines of that given at the magisterial enquiry was given by Captain Cashman (Lady Roberts), 'Captain Gardner, Richard Morgan (engineer of the Lady Rolierts), James Dailey, Maitland, Hector Fetters, and Ernest Haslett Binchall, after which the hearing was adjourned until Tuesday next.
